Axiom makes Top 100 index for UK’s best diversity organisations - 2 May 17
Employees at Peterborough-based housing association, Axiom are celebrating after being recognised as one of the best organisations to work for by the National Centre for Diversity.
Axiom, which employs around 250 people, made the top 10 of housing associations who made the 100 index list and features at number 35 overall.
The results were announced at a recent awards ceremony held in Leeds. Organisers said the event recognises the sheer hard work of people that work in the country’s best companies in relation to fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion, and engagement.
Alan Lewin, Chief Executive at Axiom, said: “We are delighted with this recognition of our continuing commitment to diversity in all that we do. To be a top 10 housing association and in the top 100 of all companies in the UK for diversity is a testament to the all the great work undertaken by our board, staff and residents throughout the year.”
In addition to the Top 100 index there were individual and organisational awards to mark the contributions of some of the most inspiring, passionate and brilliant individuals who work tirelessly every day, to ensure that there is equality of opportunity for all within their organisations — whatever your background.
Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity said: “Beyond these awards, we at the National Centre for Diversity know that there are fantastic people right across the country; working hard to make their organisations, wider communities and the UK in general a better and more equitable place for us all.
“We commend you all for your hard work, we know this is a journey that never stops, and we’re here to support you all in that journey.”
The Top 100 Index is dictated by the results of diagnostic surveys completed by those who have embarked on an accreditation journey with the National Centre for Diversity.
