Equality and diversity

Investors in Diversity logoAxiom is a Level 2 Accreditor to Investors in Diversity and is totally committed to equality, opportunity and inclusion. We care about people as individuals and tailor our services to meet the diverse needs and aspirations of residents, service users and staff.

We provide our services using a personal approach and are committed to achieving the following priorities:

1. Making the best use of our census data to support those affected by Welfare Reform
2. Delivering our single equality scheme, addressing all aspects of diversity in Axiom

Equality
At Axiom we believe that people must not be unfairly discriminated against under any of the nine strands of diversity as defined by the Equality Act 2010. These cover race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, religion or belief, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership and pregnancy/maternity.

Diversity
Diversity is about valuing individual difference and ensuring our services are responsive to the diverse needs of the people we serve. In July 2013, Axiom received the prestigious Investors in Diversity Award Stage 2 for its commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and received re-accreditation in July 2015.
